I'm- I don't think people realize what ending this orb's bargain might mean.

I think that someone made a bargain to keep the town going, even as the rest of the world ended. The rest of the world seems inhospitable, if not uninhabitable. Ending the bargain will mean the town's no longer shielded from that.

[Well, it's true that as far as he's aware they haven't gotten to the root of what the bargain is about, and it seems like they usually figure that out at some point.]
No. Everyone's still debating what to do, and- I'm not sure how much it even matters. We have to end the bargain, or be stuck here forever.

Seems like a lot of people are just grasping at straws, though. [This mission seems to have stumped a lot of them.] But this would be one of the less pleasant places to be stuck forever.

Which means this is probably going to end with a mess like Scorpion's Bend.
